Kristian O’Hare’s writing has appeared online and in print at  Fourteen Hills: The SFSU Review, Foglifter Journal, Mud Season Review, Synaesthesia MagazineSouth 85 Journal, Hobart ,Third Coast Magazine, Citron Review, New Orleans Review, Fatal Flaw Literary Magazine, Fauxmoir Lit Mag, Humana Obscura, Raleigh Review, Reservoir Road Literary Review, and Peatsmoke Journal.

His plays have been developed or produced in Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Kalamazoo, SF/Bay Area, Los Angeles, NYC, and Omaha. His works have been finalists at the Bay Area Playwrights Festival (2012), Dragon Productions Theatre Company’s New Play Development Factory (2013), and True False Theatre’s Third Annual Polygraph Tests (2013). His plays have been semifinalists at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Playwrights Conference (2010 and 2012), Bay Area Playwrights Festival (2010, 2022), and Seven Devils Playwrights Conference (2013). 

Kristian has a PhD in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from Western Michigan University. He received a MA from Boston University, where he worked with Nobel Laureate Derek Walcott and playwright Katherine Snodgrass.

He currently teaches First-Year Writing, Introduction to Creative Writing, and Modern Literature courses at San Jose State University.
